Let go
Turn your hand over
Show the back of your hand for about a second, or lower it out of view. The mouse is free again; a wave takes it back.

Pinching slows the cursor a little. To slow it more, pinch, then pull your ring finger down. Your middle and pinky fingers go with it.
The cursor moves in finer steps the further you pull. Let your fingers up and it speeds up again.
